I'm all over the web this week! (Well, technically the last article came out last week, but whatevs.) The first article is on sonomamag[dot]com, the second on huffpost[dot]com, and the last two on tor[dot]com.
I've posted before about how Tavish's favorite activity is moving his food blocks from the cage to the couch or bed. Well, Percy hates when he does this and will sometimes sit on the stairs and bite Tavish as he passes. By the point I took this video, Tavish had started trying to sneak around Percy. You can see him creeping around and then darting quickly enough that Percy only just misses him. (Percy doesn't bite hard enough to draw blood; they are both fine with this "game.")
Lovely new #bookmail! 📚: BURNING GIRLS AND OTHER STORIES by Veronica Schanoes; FIRST BECOMES ASHES by KM Szpara; THE CHOSEN AND THE BEAUTIFUL by Nghi Vo; SOULSTAR by CL Polk; KINGSTON AND THE MAGICIAN'S LOST AND FOUND by Rucker Moses and Theo Gangi; THE MIRROR SEASON by Anna-Marie McLemore.
In my TorDotCom review of CL Polk's incredible new novel SOULSTAR, I wrote that it "doesn’t have the swooning romance of WITCHMARK or the fiery intensity of STORMSONG. Instead, it has maturity, understanding, and the willingness to do what is right even if it hurts." The third and final installment of the Kingston Cycle is out now from @tordotcompub.
